A Squid Out of Water
Helping Veterans Reconnect, Rebuild, and Thrive After Service
I spent decades underwater, not knowing I was drowning socially. Now, I coach veterans like you through transition and teaching you to master the soft skills, people skills we were never issued.

You Weren’t Trained for This Part
When you leave the military, you don’t just lose your uniform—you lose your team, your structure, your identity.
And for many of us, it’s more than just a job change. It’s isolation. Miscommunication. A quiet sense of being lost.
I know because I lived it. I couldn’t read a room, missed social cues, and felt like a stranger in civilian life. It would have been nice to find someone to help with my horrible transition.
There’s Nothing Wrong With You. You Just Haven’t Been Trained—Yet.
Five years ago, I discovered what I was missing: the ability to truly connect with people. Since then, I’ve studied emotional intelligence and people skills like my life depended on it. Because honestly, at times—it did. I also learned to be a coach to help others through the journey.
Now, I help other veterans in two ways.
I serve transitioning veterans by helping them through the stress and struggle of transition, and by helping to build the skills behind thriving in a new environment through coaching and practical skills training.
You're not alone. You're not broken. And you’re not done growing.
